Thousand Islands Holds Local Food Festival in Pramuka Island

Thousand Islands Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-department holds Diverse, Nutritious, Balanced and Safe (B2SA) Local Food Festival at Thousand Islands Regent Office's yard, Pramuka Island, North Thousand Islands.

All foods are made from fish, tubers, vegetables, and fruits planted and harvested by the locals

Thousand Islands KPKP Sub-department's Administration Head, Muh. Rohman Toyib explained, this festival is enlivened by local culinary booths from Thousand Islands TP PKK, bazaar, cooking contest with fish as its main ingredient.

"We hope this festival can entertain Thousand Islands people," he stated on Wednesday (6/19).

Through this festival, Regency also wants to encourage people, especially children, to like eating fish and fruits.

"All foods are made from fish, tubers, vegetables, and fruits planted and harvested by the locals," conveyed Junaedi, Thousand Islands Vice Regent on the location.

He expects Thousand Islands residents to be motivated to use their own natural resources to create various foods and products as a part of food resilience.
